bw in the city

streetwalk in black white
bw in the city

i think of this series as a meditation on my city, my state of mind, even the state of the planet. forgive the overly ambitious statement.

the light, the last several days, has been late summer splendour.
and monochrome has a way of bringing out the essentials in a scene.

i made the images on Dundas Street, the 505 Streetcar, Church Street and Kensington Market. the crowd shots are from the orientation at Toronto Metropolitan University.

i am posting a single walk, once again. this time the images are edited.
(for readers who edit: a single preset, which i made, was applied to all).

let me know what you think of the series, of individual images, of the edits....
putting out a newsletter is lonely business: on social media we get likes (or otherwise), comments, and wide distribution.
newsletters often go without comment.
no pressure, but i really am interested.

i am putting the pitch out front, this time. if you like what you see, please share.
i will send you a high quality A4 print of your choice for every new subscriber you refer. it's still free.
